Kalpana Gurram
EA, CAA, CTC, President
Kalpana Gurram leads GurramTax with over 20 years of experience in tax preparation and strategic financial planning. As an Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Acceptance Agent (CAA), Certified Tax Coach (CTC) and Certified Tax Planner (CTP) she brings a powerhouse blend of expertise and dedication to every client relationship.
She works primarily with business owners and higher income earning individual clients, offering personalized tax strategies that go far beyond filing. Through GurramTax’s Tax Planning services, Kalpana helps clients uncover savings opportunities, reduce risk, and make smarter financial decisions.
In 2022, Kalpana was the runner up for the CTC of the year (Certified Tax Coach) Award in the category of Tax Planning, selected from over 1,000 participants nationwide—a testament to her excellence and impact in the field.
Outside of work, Kalpana enjoys walking with friends and solving brain puzzles like Sudoku, reflecting her analytical mindset and love of connection.
Malini Lakkaraju
Chief Operating Officer
Malini brings a strong engineering background and more than a decade of experience as a Quality Engineer with a leading watch manufacturing company in India. After taking time away from her career to focus on family and travel, she joined GurramTax in 2019.
At GurramTax, Malini plays a central role in maintaining smooth and efficient operations. She oversees internal procedures, manages day-to-day administrative activities, and ensures the highest standards of client confidentiality and relationship management. She is responsible for ensuring overall smooth management starting from coordinating client responses to IRS inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.

Known for her dedication and eagerness to learn, Malini approaches every task with a commitment to excellence—guided by her personal motto, “work is worship.”
Asha Deepthi Bonthala
EA, Tax Preparer
Asha Deepthi was an accomplished software engineer with over ten years of experience in diverse IT organizations. In 2020, she joined GurramTax, motivated by the opportunity to expand her expertise and contribute to a dynamic, rapidly growing firm. As an Enrolled Agent, she helps with preparing taxes along with providing critical support across multiple functions including client engagement. She also plays an integral role in strengthening the organization’s technical infrastructure by delivering reliable technical support.
Dedicated to excellence in client service, Asha is recognized as a trusted and knowledgeable resource who consistently strives to deliver value and foster strong client relationships.

Teja Nukala
Tax Associate

Teja holds a degree in Software Engineering and brings valuable experience from the banking sector. Since joining GurramTax in 2022, he has served as a Tax Associate, supporting administrative operations, contributing to payroll services, and assisting with tax preparation. Dedicated and adaptable, Teja values meaningful client engagement and consistently demonstrates professionalism in embracing new responsibilities and challenges.
He is currently pursuing Enrolled Agent certification to further enhance the quality of services provided to clients.
